How to watch: Union vs NYCFC

It’s an I-95 Rivalry Night in Chester as the Union look to get their first 3 points of the season

It’s Rivalry Night in Chester as New York City FC comes to Subaru Park to take on the Philadelphia Union. While the team has been looking great in CONCACAF play, the boys in blue are still looking for their first W of the MLS season. Last week they lost the home opener to Inter Miami 2-1.

Two people who will not be helping with the task of sending NYCFC back to Yankee Stadium with a loss will be Jack De Vries and Ilsinho. Both players are still unavailable due to lingering medical issues. De Vries is still in Concussion Protocol and Ilsinho continues to deal with a groin injury.

The tall task for the Union defense Saturday night is to stop the set piece. If you watch last week’s NYCFC game, you will see all FIVE of their goals came of set pieces. Three of those goals came off corner kicks alone. They are also tied at the top of the league for most goals scored this season with 6 overall.
