Philadelphia Union defender Ian Glavinovich had surgery on Tuesday for a torn meniscus, the team announced.

Glavinovich posted on social media about the injury on Sunday after the scoreless draw with Orlando City. The 24-year-old on loan from Newell’s Old Boys has made four appearances and three starts, logging 257 minutes and scoring a goal.

A statement was posted on the team website:”Glavinovich had a successful surgical procedure performed on Tuesday, April 8th, to repair the torn meniscus, and has already begun the recovery process…The club sends its support to Ian and wishes him a speedy and successful recovery. We look forward to Ian being back on the pitch with his teammates.”
